January 2012.... where did you go?

Oh boy, time really is fast. Today is the last day of January and I have been wanting to update my blog so many times but every time I attempt, I have another thing to do - so on and so forth.....

January is my birth month - I'm now another year older. It's kinda scary when you think about it - specially when I saw a couple of white hair that's beginning to show. But then, I just have to have the proper mind set - and that is, not to feel old - then maybe, it will be ok. There are a lot of things I just want to be thankful for. I thank the Lord for my family, good health, for good friends and for allowing my mum to be here with us.

Scrappy-wise, I have been scrapping pages and creating cards. I have been preparing class samples at Catchy Crafts. And with new products for CHA coming out, I really need to make a dent on my scrapbooking materials. Here is my first page for January....

A few more days and its Christmas and a Simple Stories Christmas cards to share

Hi there!!! I'm back with a few cards to share. Oh boy, a few more days before Christmas!!! Actually, this year will be our 3rd Christmas here in Sydney. What's exciting is that.... my Mum coming over to spend Christmas with us!!! I'm so happy about it and same goes for my little boy. He keeps on asking me, "Mum, how many days before Lola Mommy will be here?", "When are we going to pick her up in the airport?". This will be the first time that someone in our family would come and visit us. Hopefully, the rest of the family, would come and visit us in the future! Will be happy everytime that would happen!

Anyway, let me share to you 4 cards from the class I did with Catchy Crafts.

A Blog Update.... while doing a blog overhaul.

Hello everyone!!! I'm back!!! So glad to be able to blog again! What excuse can I think of.... er..... so many things had happened between my last post and this one. Busy with work - preparing for classes etc., busy with family plus went home to the Philippines for 6 weeks (which was fun!).

I'm doing a little blog overhaul at the moment.... as you have noticed, the background and the layout of my blog is different now. The reason why I'm doing this is that.... I really miss blogging and perhaps going into a new- looking blog will encourage me more to do this. On the scrapping side... I'm still scrapping and now doing cards! So, while I'm fixing my blog, let me share these to you.....

I'm still here....

Oh my, it has been 3 months since I have posted something here-- my poor neglected blog. Updates?! Well, I have been busy with my part time work at Catchy Crafts - preparing scrapbook and card classes which I have yet to post and share. Also, busy helping Harvey with school work and of course doing some household chores - ladidadida.... Bad news - unfortunately, I did not get into the Kaisercrafts design team (read previous post) but it's still worth the try.

I'm still scrapping.... and right now, they are mostly double pagers! Can you believe it?! Yeah, I'm trying to come out of my comfort zone. At times its hard because I feel like I just don't know what to put on the next page... but maybe with practice, I can improve.

I mentioned card classes... yep, I'm into card making too!!! My new found love. I enjoy teaching card classes and of course the ladies are also fun! Worth every effort.

Now to start the ball rolling again.... here is a double pager that I have made using one of my favorite brands Echo park.

Ever since I moved here in Australia, there were lots of adjustments that I have to cope with, so applying for one was not an option before. After 44 days..... long post.

Just want to let everybody know that I'm still here!!! It feels awful not to be able to update my blog for the longest time. There were many times that I've attempted but I also don't know why I ended up on just uploading the picture files on my laptop - and thats it! It never made it to a post on my blog. Laziness beats me on this - which makes me feel bad. Of course, there is Facebook and Kdrama which I also do in my spare time (kinda addicted to it). I still scrap and even make cards. In fact, I have plenty to share. I just need to get the rhythm of blogging again. I will really try harder this time....because it also makes me happy to be able to share my work.

Layouts? I have lots to share....
I'm doing more doubles!!! Here is a quick and easy double pager that I taught on one of my sessions at Catchy Crafts.

Oh by the way, Catchy Crafts is moving to a new location. Still at Hornsby, just beside the old store. We are all excited about it because it's bigger, more spacious and filled with more scrappy goodness!!! And since it will be our last week in the old addy, the store is having a 25% off on almost everything!!! The new store will be open to serve on the 27th of April. Hope to see you all there!

Recently, I've joined the Blue Bazaar Bootcamp. This time, it requires us to finish 30 layouts based on Pagemaps Sketches by the end of May. I love joining this as it will really make me put a dent on my ever growing scrap stash. Right now, I'm on to my 6th layout! - Feels great huh!

I have created this page for the White With 1 Challenge blog. I'm having a wonderful time creating layouts for this challenge blog. It really makes you dig your stash up... looking for all materials that will suit the required color for that particular month. Whew! time really flies fast. Last 3rd of January, I just turned a year older. Yep! I'm 33 already!!! And there is so much to be thankful for. I want to thank the good Lord for a wonderful husband and adorable son. For giving me such supportive parents and family - even if they are all back in the Philippines; for all my friends, who has been in-touch with me; for all my new found friends too. For all the wonderful opportunities that I have received and are coming; For health and safety... everything. My Birthday wish was... to live long to be able to cherish more...

Happy New Year!!!! and my last layouts for 2010!!!

First of all, let me greet you A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

2010 was a roller coaster ride for me in terms of my emotions, health and so many other stuff. But I'm really glad to be able to survive it... thanks to the help and support of my loving husband Henry and my dear son Harvey who keeps me busy - enough not to think about it. Thanks also to my ever supportive family back in the Philippines and also my friends who constantly messages me specially in FB. Thanks to all my friends and new found friends here in Australia... you made adjusting to my new life here quite easy and fun. Thank you guys!!! And of course just wanna thank the Lord for all the blessings He continuously showers us.

Scrappy side of my life.... we'll I have been scrapping... but not as active as I was a year ago - maybe because of our big move over here--- i still have to get the hang of it. But still, I'm glad to be able to scrap... it also helps me not to feel homesick when I do. So one of my new year's resolution.... to get back into scrapping and blogging this coming year. I'm a bit ok now... unlike my first few months that I have been crying almost everyday because of loneliness or being homesick. Hopefully, i can get back the things I usually do - lots of crafts!!! I just love it!!!

Been so busy these past couple of days... doing mommy duties, scrapping, make some swarovski accessories and fixing my scrap stuff that I almost forgot to post about this.
Anyway, better late than never huh.

I'm really happy that I was offered to do a Recipe Challenge for one on my favorite scrapbooking magazine - Scrapbooking Memories. The recipe challenge was... to create a page using only the following: 1-5x7 photo, 1 shaped patternpaper or cardstock, 2 ribbons, 2 chipboard shapes, 3 different alphas, string, stapples and masking tape.

Get Picky - Mama's Little Boy

It is really relaxing and fun to be able to create pages with some misting. I love doing it on paper, chipboards - just about anywhere possible. It really adds a bit of a jazz on your pages.

I'm so glad White with 1 Challenge blog is back!!! I certainly missed all the inspiration there!!! And now that it has reopened again.... the Team has been doing an amazing job of inspiring us all!!! Love the samples that are posted there. And because of this... I've decided to join their first challenge!!!

First Challenge is:
Use White, Yellow and you need to Journal directly on to your layout, this can be your cardstock or patterned paper, you can not use journal blocks, strips etc.

Penrith Papercrafts Festival 2010 and an Awesome News!

Last Saturday, I had a chance to go to the Penrith Papercraft Festival!!! Thanks to my every supportive husband who drove me all the way there and took care of Harvey despite of some office work he has to attend to that day - HUGS!!!!
Here are some pics during the day....
I really enjoyed the event!!! So many eye-candies, demos plus I also got the chance to meet some online friends in real life. It was really exciting.

First... Tiff Sawyer - from the Twiddlebitz Booth. She is a super lovely lady and was a former co-DT in an online shop. So happy to finally meet you in person!!!!

Next... The very nice Lisa Warren from Scrapware. So glad to finally meet you too!!! Really hope I can join one of your crop nights!!!

6-colors and a punch...

I have been keeping this fab papers from American Crafts Dear Lizzy Range for a few weeks already (or months)... I don't know... they are so gorgeous to cut!!! and lately, I have been playing with punchers too! I specially love the deep edge punchers by Martha Stewart and the large edge punchers by Ek Success. And everytime I have the chance to open a box of deliveries in the store I'm working for... I just can't help but drool over these gorgeous tools.
Here is a layout I have made using the American Crafts and EK Success Large Edge Punch - Tulips.
And the 6 colors that I have on this page are: PINK, LIME GREEN, TEAL, DARK TURQUOISE, LILAC and CORN (yellow).

Boot Camp Layouts.....

I can truly say that I have been scrapping up a storm. Last month, I joined Blue Bazaar's Bootcamp wherein all participants are required to create 50 layouts based on the given Pagemap Sketches. I joined this for the reason to get my scrapping mojos back. Second, is to use up most of the scrapbook materials I have been hoarding specially pattern papers. and of course, enjoy the scrapbooking process. I am more than halfway done and I have until the end of the month to finish all 50 layouts (really keeping my fingers crossed that I can finish this). And will be posting 2 layouts at a time on each of my blog post. (no specific order)

Lots of Sewing on my layouts and cards!

It is very rare that I use my sewing machine on sewing clothes. First, i dont know how to make clothes (I wish I know how to...) I just juse it to adjust the length of our jeans and pants - thats it! However, on paper.... I just love using it! Stitching really looks nice on pages and cards and I think, i will never get tired of using it on my projects.
For my first page... this is one of my fave layouts for the year,,,, Its just a picture layout but I was able to incorporate lots of scraping techniques on this one - layering, misting, sewing, tearing, distressing, DIY flower embellies.

Layouts, OTP and Cards using Greeting Farm Stamps!

It's a Saturday again today... boy time really flies fast. Harvey is still on holidays till Tuesday next week. So far all is good over here... Health wise, still waiting for my doctor's appointment - been waiting forever. Agh! But I really hope its worth my wait this time.

This morning, Henry and Harvey was again spending time together swimming. Harvey was having a great time everytime he knew that his dad is going to bring him at the Aquatic Centre. On the other hand, I was at my part time work... its was a busy day but I had so much fun. I took the train home but it took me forever to get on my 2nd train. Good thing Henry was kind enough to pick me at the second station where I was waiting.

Updated Settings means Updated Posts!!!

Just when I was so lazy to update my blog... I had a chat with a good friend Alby. And I told her... I was so lazy to upload maybe because I'm having a hard time uploading pictures here in blogger - I have to move and arrange all the photos as I post, which was consuming most of my time! Then she gave me the solution to my problem.... She told me that I just have to update my blogger settings!!! And guess what?! It worked!!! Thanks so much Alby for sharing this tip to me!!! Now, I don't have any reasons for not posting regularly... because I'm still scrapping, in fact, I have so many finish layouts, cards, OTP and news to share.

As I have said, I'm still scrapping.... still very much in-love with this craft!!! And I really hope to get back to this craft 100% -just like before our big move. Scrap the Boys...

I just can't get enough of these gorgeous papers from Webster's pages. I just love the colors and the design of this range - Im talking about the "Life's Portrait Collection". And for my 2nd layout using these papers... I made an entry to the August Challenge of Scrap the Boys.

The challenge was, to scrap using flowers on boy pages or scrap about your boy's feminine side. I made a layout using both criterias. I used flowers and on my title, described my boy as "Sweet."

New look and a lot more....

Hello Everyone!!! So nice to be back! Notice the new look on my blog? O well, haven't finished everything yet... still have a lot of updating to do with the links, the blinkies etc.... But having this new face will definitely help me blog again.

Been quite busy with so much stuff like adjusting and doing household chores (yah right.) There were times that it was difficult for me to scrap and blog at night due to some health reasons but I'm trying my best to get my life sorted out and do the things I normally do before I moved here. Hopefully, this is the start of it again.
I'm still scrapping - that is something difficult to give up. Actually, I'm also trying my hand in Cardmaking too!!! But during the past weeks, I was so lazy to upload pictures from my camera and blog about it. Hopefully, having this fresh look will put an end to my laziness.

So lets get on to it....
Scrappy side.... I have lots to share... ( i know i have been telling you this in my last posts... but since I was so lazy, I need to catch up on it)

Guess what?! One of my layouts got accepted in the current issue of Scrapbooking Memories Vol. 12 Number 8. Unfortunately, I can't reveal the whole layout yet... but here is a sneak... and here is a sneak peek of my layout on page 110.Hope you guys will grab a copy of the magazine!!! I promise, the content is all worth it!!! So much inspiration in it.

Playing with Copic Markers for the First Time....

I've mentioned in one of my previous posts that I have decided to take a plunge at using Copic Markers. I'm still learning and of course, using these pens requires a lot of practice and patience but I'm really having fun!!! Sharing my first 3 super simple cards using Copic....I just love these stamps. They are so cute!!! They are from Stampavie and you can get them at Catchy Crafts - Hornsby. More stamps will be arriving this coming week and I can't wait to get my hands on some of them.

First 2 classes here in Sydney...

I was very fortunate to be able to get a part time work in this place...For a scrapper, this is a very good place to be...This store is Catchy Crafts located at Hornsby, NSW. I was also given slots to teach fellow scrapbookers... This really made me nervous... but very happy. I haven't had a chance to take photos of the First class I've conducted (I forgot to bring my camera - how about that?!) but it was a kids scrapping class. I had 8 students aged 8 to 12 years old during that time. And it was fun teaching them the basics.

My 2nd class was held last May 15 and it is an adults scrapping class... I was so nervous before the class started. And here is the layout that I shared with them...Title: 1 Fine Day

and its my fault... after a month of no updates, what can I expect. I'm so sorry guys... I've been wanting to update my blog for the longgggeeeessssttt time now - regularly, but I have a few issues with my health that stopping me from doing this. I use to be very productive at night... doing all sorts of stuff and one of them are scrapping and updating my blog. But sometimes, after dinner, I feel so tired and just wanting to rest. I really hope that this is just a simple thyroid problem thats causing all these and I hope the doctors here will be able to figure that out soon. I really want to be back my normal self to be able to do the things I like whenever I want.

Of course I am still scrapping... that is something very difficult to give up. Its something that makes me happy and fulfilled. But I do it whenever my body permits. And for the past weeks, there are lots of things going on and I would like to share them to you...

First... I'm so happy to share that I'm on Scrapbooking Memories Vol. 12 No. 4 I was so happy that they've asked me to do a product challenge for the magazine. I was asked to play with Bo Bunny goodies and I just had a blast with it.and here is the page...It's such an honor doing this...And here is my mini book.....There you have my Bo Bunny Mini Book.

And I finally took the plunge at using these....

Will be sharing my first 3 cards using Copic Markers on my next post. So fun coloring!!!

Actually, I have been wanting to update my blog regularly (written in my previous posts) but these past few days makes it kinda impossible for me to do so. As a lot of you know, I have not been feeling well or shall I say not my normal self a couple of nights. I'm in the process of consulting a doctor and a specialist to check my thyroid. But I have no idea that Its really difficult to even get an appointment with them asap. I still have to wait for a month for my appointment. I have been palpitating during the afternoons and night time, making it impossible to do some of the things I usually do during these times. I really hope this is nothing serious. I'm really scared to be in a new country, with only the 3 of us here and having this health issues.

Now let's go on to the scrappy side of things... I am still creating pages... My day will not be complete without going through my scrap stuff. And scrapping makes me forget all my worries. I have created a few pages...and I want to share them to you.Closer look... Title: Despedida Party

Hello everyone! Been a little busy with scrapping and watching KD on the internet... and of course, my health is kinda bothering me... (super thanks to all who commented on my post in Facebook, they mean a lot to me...im still in the process of looking for a nice doctor to monitor and take care of me here... times like these, really makes me miss my doctors back home.) For the meantime, I'm just praying that nothing serious may happen or may develop...

First of all, I would like to say Thank you to Sar and the rest of the Savvy Team for this opportunity of being their Guest Designer for March. It was really fun working with their March We're Savvy kit. and I'm so happy to say that I was a bit of productive these past few days scrapping... (trying to keep myself busy to prevent being homesick).

I was able to create 4 layouts and 2 cards... plus, I was able to use my sewing maching on most of the layouts I had created... so happy!!!

Lately, I'm so addicted in watching Korean and Chinese Tv Dramas that I have neglected my blog. You should try watching them... they are so cute and at least it lessens my being "homesick" not that I understand their language... (of course I'm watching the ones with english subtitles below) but at least I'm always looking forward to its next episode hihi! But anyway, enought of the Tv Dramas, of course i'm still scrapping.... I just don't update my blog as often... but will really try again this time hihi... I have lots of layouts to share... and I'm so excited about them. A week ago, I have decided to join Scrapbookheaven's Sketch Crop. It was wonderful to see the girls again... Some of them were my former design team mates... 2010 Buzz and Bloom - This Boy Turns 5

My son Harvey is growing up really fast. I wish I can make time stand still to be able to enjoy more of his baby years... He will be turning 5 this 27th February. And my only wish is for him to be happy - in school, in our new home, in everything that he does. And for this, I have made my very first project for Buzz and Bloom just for him. Scrappy Blessings...

Its great to be able to scrap again... Actually, I really need to scrap to keep myself from feeling sad and depressed. The difficulties that accompanies adjusting to a new country is taking its toll on me these past few days again... how i really wish I can cope with everything thats going on in an instant. But, I'm ok... I'm just praying that things will get better for me.

Since I'm scrapping again... I have been receiving some scrapping blessings these past few days which motivates me more to do even better.

Here is one...I have been invited to create a mini book project for their product challenge. It will be featured in the upcoming issue of Scrapbooking Memories Vol.12 No.4. I was so excited and so honored creating this mini album for them. Thank you SBM!!! I hope you all would watch out for it.

2nd... I tried to apply for a design team spot at Nikki Sivils.I did not get a DT spot but i was still so happy having my name on the Honorable Mention's List!!! You can view the announcement here. I would like to congratulate my fellow Pinays who is also on the list... Janis Medina, Sarah De Guzman amd LG Belarmino.

Published!!! - Kaisercrafts Q3 Magazine.

I planned to create a post for this a week ago but i have decided to postpone it because I'm still looking for a copy of this magazine in the news agency so that I can truly see my work inside in real life.

Then, a few nights ago... I went to their blog... I saw a sneak of the magazine. Yahoo!!! Now, I'm blogging about it because I'm so sure that my work is in there.

I am so fortunate to have 2 of my layouts published in the KAISERCRAFTS Q3 Magazine!!! Thank you for accepting my submission and for the lovely write-up on one of my layouts in the magazine. Reading it (in the sneak) made me more inspired to create even more pages.

What makes me smile....

Looking at this picture makes me really smile.... Its a low quality photo but i just love staring at this. I just love that smile on Harvey's face. This was taken while harvey and I were having dinner at home.

Last Friday, was Harvey's first day in school...I was feeling all sorts of emotions as my husband and I brought him to school. I was feeling excited, scared, happy and sad all at the same time. Excited because, I can see excitement in Harvey's face as he was changing to his school uniform in the morning. Scared, because I have fears that he might have difficulty in adjusting to a new environment - having new classmates etc... and of course the fear of most Moms - being bullied by other kids. I pray everyday that he will not experience that. Happy - because he is now a school boy again. He was already studying back in Manila before we flew here in Australia. I felt so guilty when he has to stop schooling because we have to move here last August. When we arrived here, I could not enroll him to school because he was still under age. So I still have to wait for a few months before I can enroll him. So for these, I tried teaching him and refreshing all the lessons that has been taught to him back home. And Sad because, I have no one to tag alongwhen I want to go to the mall, groceries and even the post office. It feels so weird walking and doing things alone. Miss him.
Neways,I just wish my son will have a great time in school - that we would easily adjust to a very new environment and that he would excel in everything he does.I just want him to be happy.

Then for some scrap sharing... I have made these as gifts to 2 of my closest friends here.

Hello!!! hope all my blog readers are doing fine... CHA is just around the corner and it has been fun blog hopping to see all the wonderful products that are being released this season. Can't wait to get my hands on them and play!!!
I had been busy with a scrapping project these past few days... sorry I cant share anything else regarding it. But once its ok... of course I will share them here... I hope you will all watch out for it.
Tomorrow, I will be working on my blog header as part of my Blog Overhaul and of course a few scrapping projects.

I Miss Doing This...

There are many things I miss doing back in Manila, And one of them is teaching. I used to conduct classes as part of my DT role for Rekindled Moments. Can't forget the first class I have conducted there. I was so nervous! Actually I get nervous at every beginning of a class... but i just love to teach and share the things I know about this craft. I love the feeling of being able to share what I love doing to my fellow scrappers. Every class I taught was prepared with so much enthusiasm. Even if there were sleepless nights, its all worth it.
Actually, I have 2 more classes for Rekindled Moments that I have to upload - workshops 4 and 5. But I will post Workshop 5 first because workshop 4 materials are more for Valentines post.

This morning was kinda gloomy around here... Good thing the sun came out right before my highschool friend Giselle and I and of course Harvey head off to the mall to buy a couple of stuff. I need to buy Harvey his pair of school shoes. Gosh, a few more days and my son is going to school here. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I really hope he will enjoy schooling here. This is a new experience for both of us. And I really pray to God that all will go well... that Harvey will have fun in school, that he gets good grades, that he gains new good friends and that nothing bad will happen to him.

I got a few small pieces of fabric the other day. and look what I have made!!! I know its a super simple sewing project, but its really an achievement for me!!! I gave this to my husband who was so happy I was able to make a cellphone pouch hihi! Actually he is already using it!!! I really hope to learn how to sew bags and clothes using gorgeous printed fabrics... still have to practice!!!

My New Toy and a Lot More Scrappy Stuff...

I'm just so happy to be a proud owner of a Brother Sewing Machine! Yahoo!!! I've been wanting to have one for the looonggggeeeesttt time and thanks to my ever supportive hubby for giving me this as a Birthday present. Actually, I have no idea on how to sew. Even the process of threading this, I still have to watch youtube for it. I only have some sewing experience back in highschool with the manual sewing machine. Oh my, cant wait to learn how to sew some gorgeous fabrics on this and even use in on my scrapbook pages!!! Hugs Henry!!!

then a few week ago, I was able to find this at a store mall... I love having something like this on our wall too!!! Since we are so new here... and we are not allowed to put anything on our walls permanently, this is a good idea to dress the super bare wall up. I placed this in our dinning area (sorry for the poor photo, will try to replace these -and the sewing machine photo with a nicer one in the morning.)

I also have a birdcage on our other wall in the living room area... will still have to take a nice pic of it tom and will share it soon!!!

Getting another year older....

Whew, another year has past. I'm now a year older but doesn't feel like it. Just wanna thank everyone who remembered and greeted me today. Hugs to you all!!

We have nothing fancy planned for today. We are postponing it because it was raining the whole time outside. We just went to attend Sunday mass to give thanks for all the blessing He has given me. We also passed by KFC to buy food so that I can relax without having to worry of what am I going to cook for our day's meal.

Now to the scrappy side of things....
This morning, when I woke up, I received an email from Susan of Scrap the Boys. My layout entitled MY ANGEL was one of the 2 winners in their December challenge!!!Wow what a way to start the year!!! I have won a GC from 3 Angels Scrapping!!! yehey!!!

First of all, let me greet you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
To begin this post, here is a picture of us spending our first Christmas here in Australia. I'm so sorry if I had been a bad blogger for quite sometime... I really have so much to share...pics, layouts, updates, but there were too many things to do these past Christmas season and I have been on an emotional roller coaster the past weeks that I left my poor blog kinda neglected.

And now is the time to make up for it.... as you can see, I'm having a blog makeover. Thanks Diane for the tip and my hubby Henry for helping me with it - Mwah! Working with those codes makes me wanna give up hahaha!!! It's still under construction and hopefully, I'll get everything done within the week - with all the updates on the links and stuff. Hope you are liking my new 3 column look.

Wow! its already December!!! This will be my first Christmas away from my family in the Philippines... I will surely miss them. Actually, I am already missing them.

Spending Christmas here will surely be different.. of course, it will still be fun because I have Henry and Harvey with me, But i Just dont know what to expect hihih! All I know is that it is all part of the experience and the adjustment here.

I have been scrapping... but a few days ago, i got ill and needed to rest.

Here are some of the pages I was able to create...

It's been awhile...

Its been a while since I posted pictures of our family and life's happenings here in my blog. I've been meaning to do it for the loongggggeesttt time but i dont know... everytime I plan to, something gets in the way or.. (excuses, excuses hihih).

It was my 3rd month here in Sydney last November 2. Time really flies... so far everything is fine over here. Of course, adjustments are still there but since the 3 of us are now together, we find each challenge, lighter.

During my first month here, I met with 2 awesome Pinay scrappers. One is Joanne and the other is Rox whom I just only known online. It was fun meeting with them and having a few chats with them. Beside Joanne is my best friend Cherrie and to the other side is Patrick.
And here I am with Roxanne during her visit here in Sydney. (see you soon again!)Then, here are a few pics of us wandering the city....

It's been a long time since I entered a scrapping competition. And it took me days to think and re-think to finally take the plunge considering that mojos were nowhere to be found and most of my scrapbooking stuff is not here with me. I only have a few of my fave papers here with me plus I've done a little shopping online for embellies and other stuff.

I joined Artypants Scrap Your Pants Off Contest. Week 1 challenge is: Create something Old - a material from you stash that is 1 year old, Something New - stuff to be found at the new products section of the store, Something Borrowed - Scraplift a layout from the gallery and Something Blue.

Last September, I made this for a challenge at Out of the Hat Challenge blog...
the requirements were....
create a layout with 1. Use some form of distressing, 2. Use black white and 1 color and 3. use different types of lettering on the title.

CHA Mini for Buzz and Bloom

Sorry if it took me a couple of days to post this. Been trying to catch up on my scrapping and so far I'm really enjoying it.
Here are a few pics of the minibook I've made for the recent CHA for Buzz and Bloom.

I had so much fun creating this... so much misting and painting in this project. You should try doing this.Don't forget that Buzz and bloom is having their DT call for 2010 and there is also an ongoing Tabbed book kit challenge.

Hello! I'm still here hihi!. I haven't updated my blog for 2 weeks!!! and I feel terrible. So many things are going on and I really hope I'll settle soon. As you all know, just made a big move over here and then a few days ago, we finally moved into our own place. Our weekend was spent on cleaning the floors and drawers, applying for internet, buying some groceries etc.... ( i can go on...).
Harvey right now is having fever. I really wish it would go away soon. There are 2 things (that i could think of right now) that I don't want to happen to us here in Australia. One is losing a job and the other one is having someone sick in the family. I really feel helpless right now. And I miss having my family around everytime Harvey is sick. They give me so much support and help everytime Harvey is in such situation. Right now, I feel that we are really on our own now and I really miss having them around. And just last night too, a strong typhoon hit the Philippines. There are floods everywhere. My aunt called me last night to inform me that flood waters came inside our house in the Philippines. I was so shock because this is the first time that had happened to our place. All of our stuff are in the balikbayan boxes ready to be shipped here are now soaking wet! And it includes, my finish layouts and work as well as most of my scrapbook materials. I feel like crying!!! It really feels bad when you cant do anything to save your stuff and of course to help my relatives there. sigh!

On the lighter side... I have a few layouts for Buzz and Bloom for the recently concluded CHA. I love their new products which had also won them 1st place CHA Innovations. I have used the New Cords and Demin on these.

I'm Still Here!!!

Oh my goodness, it has been more than a month since i have last posted here. And believe me, I have been itching to update my blog because i wanted to share all the things that had been happening for the past 4 weeks++.

My title for this post should be.... GOOD-BYEs ARE NOT FOREVER. But since it was way too long since i have last posted, I think the more catchy title for this post was the one up there.

Recently, my family made a big decision ( I mean - really BIG!!!) to move here to Australia. Yep! I'm already here and so far things are good except for the people -my family and my friends, and things I miss in the Philippines. They are moments that I'm just here, so quiet, thinking of why we made such decision. But hubby always comfort me with- this is all for Harvey, that I should not worry, that we are going to be Ok.

Before I left, eventhough i was so busy packing, I was still very fortunate to be able to attend a lot of scrapbooking events. A lot of scrapmeets happened last July and it gave me a chance to see a lot of my scrapping friends before i left.

PS: I would like to thank everyone who gave me the 8x8 layout. They are all beautiful and heartfelt. I never realize how many friends i have gained through this hobby. Thank you all!!! Will be sharing the album very soon!

At Mystical Scrapbooks, we have this thread there "We Dare You" and for my turn, I was dared to create a page with Yellow and Violet Color Combi, With at least 4 eyelets and 2 Handmade embellies. When I first read it, i was like.... yellow and violet again??? oh no! So i went over my stuff to look for some violet materials.... Here is what i came up with...

Days seems so fast huh! Last weekend was so fun. Saturday, I've attended Studio Azul's Scrap Buffet and Last Sunday, my good friend Merry Jane threw me a despidida party at Rekindled Moments store. I had a blast during those 2 occassions and will be sharing some pics to you aboutt those events in my next post.

21 days to go....

My husband has this countdown on his YM. 21 more days to go and we will be together again. I'm feeling all kinds of emotions as of the moment. Happy - cause we will be reunited with my husband very soon!!! (harvey is so excited about this!!) Sad - because there will be so much to be left behind... my family, friends, our house and the life i am so used to, etc... Scared because i dont know what is instore for us there. Excited - to have our new life!

Will still be online - promise! I hope you all keep in touch with me. Will miss you all!!

One of the things i will surely miss is.... Conducting Workshops. I was very fortunate to be able to conduct 5 workshops for Rekindled Moments. I have already posted our projects for Workshops 1 and 2. Will be posting our workshop 3 projects right now and the next workshops in the next couple of days.

And I would like to thank all of my fellow scrappers who participated and attended my workshops. It really means so much to me. And I really hope I was able to impart some knowledge and love for this craft.

Tried Paper Piecing too!

Here in the Philippines, Scrappinmoms Idol 3 is on going and round 1 challenge is create a page with Paper Piecing Technique. The gallery is filled with so much ideas and gorgeous layouts!!!

Actually, I have tried this technique in a couple of my layouts but have no idea of what its called. Its a fun way of creating embellies!!! You should try it!

Then just last week, i was dared over at Mystical Scrapbooks to create a page with these 3 criterias. First criteria is No cardstock; Second, at least 3 different patterned papers; and last is - must make something paper pieced!!! So here is my chance once again!!! I created a fun and simple layout!!!
