Round 4 - Project Scrap Away

I'm on Round 4 of project scrap away. The requirement this time was to make our own patternpaper. Yup you've read it right!! Make our own pattern paper. And use that pattern paper on our layout. I had a hard time figuring out what am I going to do.

I've scraped about a photo of Harvey writing and coloring. It just amazes me to see him do this...made me realize, he's growing...fast! I've made a pattern paper sized 12x12 and a lot was going on in my mind that I've decided to put in several designs in one pattern paper. I was browsing my stuff when I came across a WRMK paper which had four 6x6 different designs in one side of the pattern paper. I've decided to apply that in my page to be able to showcase more."

Here's my very own patern paper...
And here's my Page...

Bag Tag for Harvey

Part of Harvey's uniform was the bag and the snack bag. Yup! they all have the same bag and snack bag that's why im having worries that one day, he might bring home the wrong bag because he still could not distinguish which bag is his. And after 3 days for schooling, it happened! Last Friday, we were on our way home when i opened his bag to check his things -and find out that he got the wrong bag! Good thing he still has his DARB (Assignment notebook) with him and ive read that the teacher are asking the parent to put a keychain on the bag and snack bag for easy recognition. --- but this came in too late... Harvey already got the wrong bag hihi!
Instead of buying him a keychain, I made him one - actually 2! Here's what I made him... One for the bag and another for the snack bag. I made it back to back because he got 2 names.

I just hope he wont bring home wrong bag again next time...

A former boss/Ninang/friend asked me to make invitations for the upcoming 84th birthday of her dad. I love making these!!! and to make me more excited, this will be the first time that i will be playing with my new cuttlebug! It was a rushed request as they will go on vacation tom (sunday), so they wanted to start distributing the invites so their guess can save the date of the big day. Round 2 - Project Scrap Away

this is my round two submission for projects scrap away. Round 2 requirements was to make a page using only scraps in you household, and the only scrap material that we are allowed to use is a cardstock and a photo (non-recognizable). Here's my take...Wow, this round has really challenged me to think out of the box. Been looking around our household to check what else can I use on my layout. My Layout basically consists of ephemeras and scrap materials (not the usual). I've used aluminum foil (one used to wrap food), a black colored CD, a piece/cut from the fabric that was used on my bridemaids' gown during my wedding & a toothpick as feet for bird I also made. As for my ephemeras, I've used my wedding invites and the 3 small silver frames (a wedding souvenir). I made a big tree embellishment from thin cardboard then covered it with aluminum foil. I embossed it using a cuttlebug machine to give texture to it... then I also used aluminum foil, crumpled it (again for texture) and form a land-like image under the tree. I cut the Black CD into small squares to build a border and also cut letters from it for the title. The fabric on the other hand, was placed as a border to my page. I cut a strip from the leftover material of my bridesmaids' gowns then laced it around my cardstock. The bird, which I had my journaling on was also from the base cardstock. Also included small silver frames (wedding souvenir) and inserted 3 pictures of the most significant symbols of our unity as husband and wife."
Journaling:I do it over and over again...
Title: Yes
Materials used:DCWV Violet cardstock - base and bird / Scrap - Aluminum Foil, Toothpick, violet fabric, black cd / Ephemera - Invites, Silver frames / Pen
