3 Wishes...

I made this for Kaya... it was fun doing this LO. Just had a hard time with the picture because I seldom use my solo picture in making layouts. The requirements was to make a layout using a 5X7 black and white photo of myself. We should also use the word 3 wishes in our title. it tollk me awhile to ponder on my 3 wishes. Here's my take on it...

Title: 3 wishes
Journaling: It is very difficult to ask for only 3 wishes... I have a lot when it comes to my heart's desire... ok... Here's my top three! 1. good health for my family 2. Shed the pounds off... 3. To be able to scrap at least 2 LOs a week & get published.

Out of the Box - a "ME" layout..

I entered a 4 week challenge which was giving away a cuttlebug for a prize. I really did not expect anything from this challenge (thought i really want that cuttlebug! hihi) because they would only be allowing 8 contestants to participate. They asked for a link to the blog of all those who wanted to participate, then they will announce the lucky 8 contestants. I'm so happy that they let me participate.. yes I'm one of the 8 contestants to play. Every week, two will be eliminated from the contest. Can you just imagine who my heart was palpitating everytime i wait for the results? I made it until round 3. I got eliminatedafter that round... Too bad because there only 1 more round to go. But it was a fun experience... did not win (bye bye cuttlebug) but at least I was able to make more new LOs.

This is one of the LOs I've submitted. They gave us the new CK magazine as an inspiration. You can use the layout of the magazine or the colors, etc. It is very difficult for me to make a "me" layout. First, it so difficult to compose something about myself. Second, rarely do I have a solo picture. But here's another try at this....
Title: Out of the Box
I got really inspired buy the colors used in the cover of the new CK Magazine
Journaling:10 Thing about me... -wilfe, mom, insomiac, has a sweet tooth, loves to experiment, very poor in the kitchen, craft person, semi perfectionist, sweet, addicted to scrapbooking...
Materials Used: Bazzill Scenic route Sumner CS - aqua blue & salmon; Cosmo cricket - gretel Woodland; maya road fresh Chipboard - Scrolls Corner; Prima floral embellishment; Yellow dmc Thread; diamond glaze; Rangers perfect pearls- natural; Swirl stamps; MM paint - chocolate, acorn, deep sea; Color box chestnut roan; BG wilma chipboard; SRP Diecut message; magic mesh; Lace

No Photos please!

This layout is one of my entry for Scrapperie's 2-month long challenge. The requirements was... we should make a layout without using any picture. This is the second time i'll be making a layout without a picture. One was during the Idol contest which I used the pregnacy test kit, harvey's hair and cord. This time, I used a card that was given to me by Henry 13 years ago... Here it is...
Title: Sweet Memories
Item: Missing U card
Journaling: This card was given to me by my husband some 13 years ago. This is one of my favorites because he wrote..."Missung u means missing e" (e-everything). Isn't that sweet? So lucky to be married to this man.. just couldn't imagine life without him...Materials Used: jenny Bowlin - black label; Vintage red tiny dot, Vintage black ledger; 7G Together Ensemble Sticko; JB Black labe sticker; Red ribbon

Nothing fancy but at least I get to celebrate it with my son and my husband. (i'm turning crazy with regards to my hubby's work... imagine, he has to work during the holidays!!!He was working from home!!! So I'm so happy that he used his VL to spend time with me on my day!!!) Usually I cook something at home but I don't know what happened to me today... ( I was so lazy to cook.) thats why we just went out have lunch at Conti's in Serendra ordered a slice of cake then went malling... Here's some pics...
There are so many things to be thankful for... first, is for having a very supportive and loving husband, for having a super sweet hyper boy, my ever supportive mommy, family and friends-old and new found, my two recent wins in scrapbooking... the hobby that filled in an empty space in my heart ever since i gave up my work. I still have a couple of wishes... but i guess you cant really have them all... not now, but i know I will... with God's help - in time.

What a way to End/Start a Year!!! - i won Runner-up at Scrapperie!!!

Every morning as soon as i wake up... I immediately turn on the computer to check my mails... I browse at some sites then found out that Marj won in Scrappinkids Challenge. I excitedly ym-ed her regarding this... everything was so funny because she thought that I was congratulating her for winning in Scrapperie's 2-month challenge.. I haven't visited Scrapperie's site yet to see the results of the challenge, then she became to wonder when I told her that her daughter's pic was choosen too!!! Are we talking about the same thing? That's when we founded out that I was congratulating her on winning at scrappinkids challenge and she was also congratualting me for being a runner- up on the recently concluded Scrapperie challenge. (for marj's kwento, read here.)
I'm so happy we won!!! Marj was the grand winner, then me and Christine V. were the runners-up! Congrats to marj and Christine and to all the participants in this contest... It really feels good to hear something like this... I'm so overly HAPPY!!! Thanks Scrapperie for this very fun challenge!!!
