First Online Class...

Yesterday, July 25, 2008 was my first ever online class. This was held over at Mystical Scrapbooks. I was so nervous as i was waiting for the scheduled time to conduct this. I have prepared for this and took lots of pictures for easy demonstration. And Im so happy that the girls over at mystical liked it. Head over there to have a view of my mini book. I had so much fun with this!!! Thanks Mystical for this chance

Round 3 -Embellished Idols

It's round 3 at Embellished Idols. This time we are asked to Scrap a life motto. This is to be done on some material other than 12x12 paper.

So i,ve used a canvass as the base of my work and painted on it. This was my first time to work on canvass and I can say I have fun doing it. I also used 3d paints to give emphasis on the outlines of my drawing. And my motto is "TIME SPEND TOGETHER IS TIME WELL SPENT."

Round 9 - Project Scrap Away

Whew!!! We're on our 9th round of Project Scrap Away!!! And Im so lucky I'm still in! This competition really gets the creative juices out - every drop of it haha!!! I really hope to make it till the end... but the competition is fierce... Im still with 5 more super talented scrappers!!! (Believe me, they are!!) But Neway, whatever the final results maybe be, Im still glad I made it this far. It was really a fun and nice experience to be in this contest.
Round 9's requirements was to look for your very first LO then take a pic of it then create a new LO base on it, "re-update" or "re-do" the LO again now that we have been scrapping for awhile.
Here was my entry...
Presenting... my very first layout!!!
My first LO was made around 1 1/2 years ago. It was very simple.... It was about my new born baby Harvey. I just use plain rectangles neatly arranged across the page... I used to love to mat pics with plain cardstock... now I'm not doing that anymore...My new LO has somehow evolved. I still used the same photos.. although i have the main picture bigger to give emphasis on the subject. I love to layer different pps, I love to tear and give it a distressed look. I also love to use chipboards - paint them, stamp on them... I dont use cardstock to mat my photos anymore... I just brush a little paint on the edges of my photos and im good to go! I also love to ink on everything - flowers, chipboard. I'm loving the new way of how I scrap... more bold colors and i feel more free doing it!"
Here are more angled shots...

Round 7 - Project Scrap Away

Whew!!! Im on my 7th round of this competition. and this week's requirements was quite hard to do, mainly because it will take a lot of courage to scrap a Tragic or a Sad experience in one's life. I have been keeping photos of Harvey when he was hospitalized. It was my most sad/scary experience as a mother. He was confined for 15 days and during those days, there was this instance that he turned blue, his lips his nails... I just couldnot forget the sight of it. Im just glad its over and Harvey now is a happy healthy boy. Here my take on this round's challenge. Title: Mom's Pain

Journaling ~Is seeing your child in pain and sick. My boy stayed in the hospital for 15 days. Ic ould not help but blame myself for it.
Hidden Journaling ~It breaks my heart whenever my son is in this kind of situaltion. He was only 11 months old when he was forst hospitalized for a stomach infectionand we stayed there for half month. I could not bear the sight of needles being inserted to him. I could not bear hearing all of his cries. If only it was possible to ask the Lordthat his condition be passed to me, i would be glad to accept it just to spare him from all of these.
I felt terrible during these times. I cant help but blame myself for all that had happened...Is there anything that i did wrong? --What??
But somehow this situation has made me stonger for my son. That I should not be weak for Harvey.
Materials ~- Inque Boutique PPs {Memoirs}- Prima Flowers- Prima Journaling notebook- AC thickers- Prima say it with crystals {black}- MM Button- WRMK eyelets- Ribbon- DCWV Drk blue CS- MM Paint {Balck}- Versa ink {Black}- Uniball Signo Pen {Black}- Pebeo 3d paint
